What is EcoSharp?
EcoSharp is a Non-Selective weed control product that is made from a proprietary mixture of Acetic Acid and Citric Acid (components of Vinegar and Lemon Juice). EcoSharp is an environmentally friendly product and has no lasting impact on the surrounding areas. It is quickly biodegradable and provides an excellent alternative to chemical herbicides.
Is EcoSharp a registered product?
Yes, EcoSharp is registered with the EPA
How much EcoSharp do I spray on an area?
Only plant surfaces that come into contact with the product will be controlled. Therefore, it is essential to spray until weed is fully covered. To achieve knockdown it is recommended that you spray the weed to the point of run-off. This is especially important the first time you spray a new area. Being thorough during the initial application will reduce your chances of re-treatment being required.
When do I spray EcoSharp?
The best results are achieved when EcoSharp is sprayed early in the season on young and growing weeds. Spraying for full coverage during the first application of the season reduces the necessity for re-treatment. Spray on days that are warm and dry. Moderate temperature usually provide the best conditions for application.
Where do I apply EcoSharp?
EcoSharp is non-selective weed control and will knock down all foliage it contacts. EcoSharp is best used on areas such as: walkways, shrub-beds, tree-rings, sidewalks, driveways, patios, railroad rights-of-way, power stations, industrial sites, around farm buildings, storage areas, tank farms, greenhouses, plant nurseries, golf courses, fence lines and vacant lots.
Does EcoSharp work on Broadleaf and Grassy Weeds?
EcoSharp is non-selective, it works on both broadleaf and grassy weeds. It is important to take care when spraying grassy weeds because the compact surface area is more resilient than that of broadleaf weeds and is also easier to miss during spraying.
Does EcoSharp work on Perennial and Annual Weeds?
Yes, EcoSharp will work on both perennial and annual weeds. However, EcoSharp will not kill the root structure of perennial weeds initially. Therefore, perennial weeds may need additional applications before a complete control is achieved.
What is the difference between EcoSharp and horticultural vinegar?
The secret to EcoSharp’s efficacy is the synergistic blend of Acetic Acid and Citric Acid. This mixture dramatically increases the performance beyond horticultural vinegar (Acetic Acid) alone. EcoSharp also contains a surfactant that holds the product onto the leaf structure to maximize impact.
How much do I dilute the EcoSharp concentrate?
EcoSharp is diluted 1 quart of concentrate to between 2.25 and 3 quarts of water. However, if the area to be applied contains very mature, hardy weeds then the dilution can be changed. The recommended modification for stronger applications is 1 quart of concentrate for 2.25 quarts of water. Always read the label.
How Do I store EcoSharp and how long can I store it?
EcoSharp can be stored in any temperature and should not deteriorate with age. However, storing in extreme conditions or using product that has been stored for an extended period of time is NOT recommended.
