Dear Orchid Doc:
I have often wanted to write to you, but someone else usually asks the same questions I had in mind. I must commend you on such a brilliant idea, and for helping us to be able to look after a plant once thought to be very difficult.
My present problem is this: What spray should I use on orchids that just won’t bloom? They start spiking, and just when I begin to get excited, the bloom is aborted. Do you have any idea as to what could be causing this? Could it be the heavy rains that we have been having?

Dear Colleen:
The heavy rains can cause lots of problems, but I very much doubt that this is one…
