
COLUMBUS — Columbus Wellness Center’s garden will expand this year to include tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh peppers and more.
Like the center’s original therapy garden, the vegetable garden will be used by different departments there, such as Wiggles and Giggles Therapy for Kids and Columbus Community Hospital’s rehabilitative services.
“We have the opportunity to do things in a garden that don’t seem like therapy as much when you’re working with plants and vegetables,” said CCH rehabilitative services director Doug Janssen. “Any therapy outside feels less like therapy and more like something they enjoy doing at home.”
