Teatown’s PlantFest, May 13

If you’re stopping by Teatown to view the hundreds of native plant species at Wildflower Island during the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days tour on May 13, you can’t miss the annual PlantFest, which is celebrating its 25th year, and will also be held on this date. Shop for unusual annuals, perennials, native plants, herbs and vegetables, and get expert advice on habitat, bee and butterfly attractors, combinations for mixed containers and nature friendly gardening. Complementary vendors will also offer everything from jewelry and ceramics to handmade wooden bowls and kayaks, farm-to-table produce, artisanal breads, herbal vinegars and bee creams – even knife and tool-sharpening. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission is free. Plant sale at Lyndhurst, May 13
