Nearly 300 park-loving Hubsters were seeing green (and white) on Friday eve at the Friends of the Public Garden 20th anniversary Green & White Ball.
Held at the Taj hotel, the black-tie soiree raised much-needed funds for our beloved public parks — Boston Common, the Public Garden and Commonwealth Avenue Mall. Over two decades, the Green & White Ball has raised more than $6 million to provide care for these beautiful and iconic outdoor spaces.
Co-chairs Fiona Benenson, Susan Boney, Tamar Frieze, Jackie McCabe and Tiverton McClintock planned the grand affair for months — and it included a touching tribute to late Friends Board Chair Anne Brooke and a special live auction of a private swan boat cruise and cocktail party for 14 in the Public Garden.
