LINDSEY – Composting is one form of recycling that can happen in your own backyard, and a local expert will offer tips to discover the secrets of composting at a workshop on May 24.

Learn how to take food scraps and other organic material and turn them into compost that is usable in the yard or garden at the Compost Workshop sponsored by the Sandusky County Park District and the Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca Solid Waste Management District.

Each year the workshop is sponsored in one of the district’s three counties. The 2017 workshop will be in Sandusky County at the Sandusky County Park District’s Wilson Nature Center, 654 S. Main St., Lindsey.

The compost workshop costs $5 and is open to all district residents including all residents of Fostoria and Bellevue.
