GREENWOOD LAKE — They once dreamed of opening a hometown garden center with an emphasis on knowledgeable and personal customer service.

And on Thursday, June 8, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined owners Stacy Lawrence-Congdon and Warren Congdon, along with members of their family, customers and friends to celebrate the six-year anniversary and expansion of the Greenwood Lake Garden and Farm Market.

The motto of the center, which is located at 1197 Route 17A just before Windermere Avenue is “Local goods for the local good.”

The owners also describe their business as a mom-and-pop operation and they explained that the Greenwood Lake Garden Center and Market strives to support, educate and nourish the Warwick Valley community.
